RVUTA negotiators went back to the bargaining table Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
While the district came back with the offer of 5% for one year, the health care increase for year 2 & 3 were cut, and many of the non-financial items of our counter proposal were omitted, including most of the Special Education conditions we asked for in order ensure equity between SPED and GEN Ed classes that have not been resolved outside of negotiations.
The district suggested we move to impasse and bring in a PERB mediator. Our team has agreed.
Hopefully a neutral third party will shed some light on this situation and help us come to a mutually beneficial agreement to support our students.
